Where have you been?

Do you remember your dreams? The ones you had when you where little and bold and free to say just about anything? The dreams you had when the slightest thing you did was cute? Do you remember those dreams, when you said you wanted to be president, when you said you wanted to be an astronaut? I am not about to suggest that you quit your job and join space camp (well, maybe some of you should, for real), but I am suggesting that you (we) recapture that passion and that freedom and that idea that you could actually be whatever you set your mind to.

Set your mind to be happy, set your mind to be fulfilled, set your mind to be free, set your mind to dream and set your will to live your best life (I say this a-lot).

Faith doesn't work without action. What does it matter that you dream of being an architect but you never complete the studies. It's OK to make changes as long as you make them for the right reasons. Did you change your dream because your heart changed or did you change your dream because you where afraid of the cost to get there? Do you still want it for the right reasons? Is there someone you need to find? Where have you been? Where is that passionate version of you who thinks he can change the world one child at a time, one patient at a time, one case at a time? Where is the fire that used to drive you and inspire the people around you? Where have you been?

Find her. Find him. They have work to do.

Faith dies when there is no action. Once you figure out what you (think you) want to do, then begin to walk it through the faith process of:

F-Finding and Studying it in the Word to build more faith and awareness
A-Asking and Confessing it to build more confidence and certainty
I-Internalizing it to anchor it on the inside of you, and
T-Training and Taking Action in order to develop skill and build momentum.
Yes, it's time to do the work that will give your dream legs and prepare you to live it out loud.

It doesn't cost anything to research (well time, but you have to invest something into designing the life that you want). Find out what you need to know how to do in order to be a _____________, in order to create a _______________, in order to ________________. Get started on your research today while it's fresh on your mind. If you want to be an entrepreneur and you don 't want to quit your job, there is a way. If you want to be a writer and a lawyer, then do it. If you want to be a doctor and a dancer, then have at it. There is room for ALL your dreams, when you train, plan, and take action.

Where have you been?

Part 5c: More For Your Wallet

Well, I received a few requests for some scripture suggestions that are perfect for the pocket. Honestly it just depends on what you are dealing with at the time. My favorite spot to hunt down life changing scriptures for my wallet/purse/back pocket is Proverbs. I just believe that the Proverbs can turn you into a PRO. Just by applying what you learn in that one book you could become a PRO at relationships, business, money as well as developing the kind of character that will walk you into the life that you've dreamed of. But don't take my word for it, check it out. Try this:

(1) Read one chapter a day for the next 6 months. When the time has passed you will have read each chapter 6 times a piece. It's a painless way to keep hearing and hearing until you retain the heart of Proverbs.
(2) As you read write down your favorite scriptures and feel free to post these new favorites or life changing scriptures here for someone else to put in their pocket. This way we can help each other out. (And I know that some of you hate to post, so just shoot me an email, I will post it for you (anonymously, if you want to remain anonymous)
(3) In case you where wondering where to start, use the date. Today is the 11th so start reading PRO 11. Tomorrow will be the 12th so read PRO 12 tomorrow. If you miss a day just get back on the wagon and start with that day. For those months that are short a day or two just read all the remaining chapters on the last day of the month (it will never be more than 3 chapters on that day).

Here is one that I like, PRO 23:33 AMP
"[Under the influence of wine] your eyes will behold strange things [and loose women] and your mind will utter things turned the wrong way [untrue, incorrect, and petulant]." Alcohol and violence ended my marriage. A man (or woman) choosing to live by this could save their relationship.

Here's another, PRO 24:3-4 AMP
"Through skillful and godly Wisdom is a house (a life, a home, a family) built, and by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation], And by knowledge shall its chambers [of every area] be filled with all precious and pleasant riches." I want a certain kind of life. I want my family to flow. I want my home just so. This scripture lets me know that it's not just going to fall from the sky. I'll need to do something, get more Wisdom, develop more skill, build the kind of character that will give me the life I want and help me to keep it tight and right.

Anyway, it's your turn, you add some (pocket scriptures) . . .
